Just to answer a few of the questions I've seen:
We like pumpkin pie so it wasn't wasted, yum.
It took about 6 hours to take the 380 pictures.
I don't have that much motivation so the movie's frame rate is from 2 to 10 frames per second but the majority is 6 frames per second.
The infamous item that appears and disappears at 50 seconds is a container of chicken for the little dog who has stomach cancer. The turkeys weren't the only one's who were hungry. I have to say that watching this mystery unfold in the comments was pretty entertaining. I guess it falls under the category of "you get what you pay for", lol.
The cat wasn't beaten, we sat it down and gave it a stern lecture, lol

Sacrifices, Challenges, & Opportunities

The decision to come back home for a break was not a choice I made lightly. It was only in packing up to go home, that I realized how much I had to sacrifice in order to do this project. This video takes a slightly sadder tone to reflect the kind of feelings I had as I landed in Hong Kong on my way back home (this was before the Tour de Nerdfighting).
Unless you give me written permission, your donation will NOT be used for personal expenses, equipment, airfare, or anything like that.
Since I dont use donations to pay for my living expenses (or to buy the airplane tickets I needed to fly home), I've completely emptied out my life savings doing this project. My parents were dipping into their own savings to help me do this project but with the downturn in the economy, they dont have much savings themselves anymore.
The title for the video is a reference to some of the hurdles I had to face during this project. That includes the hospitalization of my mom (who originally came with me as a translator) due to Dengue Fever, the floods, the riots, the military curfew, the cyclone, the earthquake, the minor surgery I had, and now this recent problem I discovered about having iron poisoning/overload from drinking the metal-heavy water common in Bangladesh.

Some additional tips not covered in the movie:
1. Arcing puke. Very important thing to consider when puking that I did not adequately demonstrate in the video. Puke is fully subject to gravity, and an arc can allow you to get more range, or offer a solution to a tough angle.
2. Blockage. Some of you might have picked up on the fact that characters can block puke. This also extends to the infected, even the common ones. They can get in the way of the puke. Arcing puke can offer a solution to this.
3. Jumping off buildings. Bit of a gambit to play here. If you jump off a building of sufficient height, you will automatically blow up upon hitting the ground, coating the Survivors in puke. HOWEVER, if they shoot you while you are in mid air, no matter if you're practically standing on their head, you won't coat anything with puke from the explosion.
4. Holding your spawn. There is nothing more Survivor alarm-raising than the loud burbling and burgling of a nearby Boomer. The Survivors having time to prepare for you can mean opportunities wasted. For this purpose, attempt to hold back spawning into the game until the last possible minute. The optimal spawn has you puking on your victims only 1-2 seconds after spawning.
5. Fall damage caused by your explosions are credited to you "X pushed Y" - you can see this on screen during the movie when Francis gets pushed off. [endtext]

THERE ARE UNINFORMED OBAMA SUPPORTERS, TOO
It has been said in comments that we would find similarly talking point-driven, substance-less supporters at an Obama rally, and we agree. But no politician has emerged on the national stage as undefined and unqualified as Sarah Palin, and her public persona--which is anti-intellectual by definition--discourages substance. Instead, we get winking. One could hardly imagine her giving a complex speech about race in America, or speaking eloquently about our country's relations with Islam. Not just because she couldn't write such a speech (Obama has speech-writers, of course) but because she wouldn't--such necessarily academic discussion is antithetical to the persona she's created for herself and that her supporters have come to love.
CHERRY-PICKING
As for accusations of cherry picking, which are commonly thrown at interview-based videos, it simply isn't what we did. We interviewed only a few more people than ended up in the video, not hundreds, and what was cut was done for time purposes. The people were selected at random--some offered to be interviewed--and we were only there for about 90 mins (it gets dark early and fast in Ohio right now). What didn't make it into the video was just more footage of people talking generically or about taxes/spending, drilling, and abortion, and we constructed blocks in the piece to represent those issues. Of course the piece was edited to be entertaining (this is YouTube, after all, where the currency is cat videos) but we don't believe we misrepresented the attitudes of the people at that signing in any way.
This NEW LEFT MEDIA film was produced and edited by Chase Whiteside (interviews) and Erick Stoll (camera).
